Spanish Colonial Revival Style Architecture was popular in North America from the early 1900s until the start of World War II. Examples of this style are prominent in California, the Southwest, and in Florida. Features of this style include:
- tile roofs
- elemental forms
- ornamented openings
- decorative ironwork
Residences of this style often surround a courtyard with arched colonnades. Ranch-style residences owe their origin to this architectural style.
